1952 Ready for market Waterman's Farm Market has been operating since the summer of 1978. Ours is a Hoosier Homestead Farm, having been in the Waterman family for over 100 years.

Our market is open from strawberry season in late May / early June until November 1st. We open at 8am every day Monday through Sunday and close at 7pm. The market knowledgable and courteous staff is here during all business hours to answer any questions you may have and to direct you to the products and produce you want.

market nowWe offer a large variety of produce and food related products throughout our operating season.

Around Memorial Day every year, we open our doors to the public and begin our season with fresh from the field Strawberries.  While we are still picking strawberries, the sweet green peas become ripe.  We offer sugar snap peas which are sweet and tender as one eats pod, seed and all.  Great raw with a dip or they can be stir-fried as in Oriental dishes or even cooked like a green bean.  English peas are intended to be podded so that one can eat the seed inside and throw away the pod.  Snow peas are flat and are most often eaten in Oriental dishes.

Around the Fourth of July our market is hustle and bustle with everyone wanting our famous sweet corn for those family cookouts and summer evening meals.

Of course throughout the summer we offer a multitude of tasty fresh produce from our farm: tomatoes, sweet corn, canteloupes, green beans, cucumbers, numerous varieties of sweet and hot peppers.  In mid- to late- September mustard and turnip greens are available to pick.  .

current marketWhen fall finally starts bringing the sweet smells of apple cider and pumpkin pies, we begin the Fall Harvest Festival. Our market is a flurry of school age children during the weekdays coming with their teachers to learn about our agricultural farm. Then on the weekends, we have an extremely festive atmosphere with families attending the festival.

Once you have been to our farm market you will wonder why you ever went to the grocery store for your fresh produce and tasty seasonal foods. To get directions from where you are to where the freshest food in town is you can click here for directions.

Frozen Food Ordering

If you are interested in purchasing frozen foods, please print off the form on this website, call 317-357-2989, or pay us a visit and one of our staff will be there to help.

Twice each season, once in July and once in September, we place an order for frozen fruits, vegetables, and other items from Coloma Foods in Michigan. We have found their products to be of excellent quality and we recommend them to you.

To take advantage of this opportunity for high-quality, convenient frozen products, simply complete an order sheet, complete it, bring it in and pay the 50% deposit and you will be notified when your order has arrived at our market.

We do not have adequate freezer space to hold your order for a lengthy period. We do have space in our refrigerated units but this will not hold the product in a frozen state, so we ask that you be prepared to pick up your order as it arrives.
